Today, highways FBiH d.o.o. Mostar organized a tour of the entire section Vlakovo – Tarčin, total length of 20.2 km, which should be completed and opened for traffic by the end of 2014, which will give a functional unit of 80 kilometers of highway from Zenica to Tarčin.
Remember, works on the section are carried out in the value of 722 million KM (Convertible Mark). Contractor is Turkish company Cengiz Insaat, while 60% of work is performed by around 20 Bosnian companies. “The stock represents one of the most challenging projects in the Koridor Vc and consists of three sub-sections: Vlakovo – Lepenica (10.1 km), Lepenica- Suhodol (5,5 km), and Suhodol- Tarčin (4,6 km).
Mentioned section projected seven tunnels, seven bridges / viaducts, loop Vlakovo, frontal toll spot Vlakovo, loop Lepenica, resting place Mokrine and loop Tarčin “, stated the Highway of Federation.
They added that the construction of the first section Vlakovo – Lepenica began 1/17/2013.
Contractor is Turkish company Cengiz Insaat, and several domestic companies. The contract value amounts to 350 million KM with VAT. The value of works performed by local companies is more than 200 million KM. Engaged in the construction of this section are: Hering d.d. Široki Brijeg, Deling d.o.o. Tuzla, Euroasfalt d.o.o. Sarajevo, A3 d.o.o. Široki brijeg, Butmir d.o.o. Sarajevo, HP Investing d.o.o. Mostar, GP Put d.d.

Within this subsection following objects are projected: Gaj tunnel length of about 880 meters,tunnel Tulica length of 550m, tunnel Ban brdo 350 meters long, viaduct Vlakovo length 390m, two ramps (viaduct) length 250m, viaduct Gladno Polje length 350m, viaduct Šamin Gaj length 350m, viaduct Podgaj length 65m, frontal toll spot Vlakovo, loop and laterally toll field Lepenica.
Construction of subsection Lepenica – Suhodol started 09/17/2012. Construction value of this subsection is 147 million KM including VAT. Most important structures on subsection are: tunnel T2 Grabosječ – length approximately 890 meters, tunnel T1 Zakunjača – lengthabout 360 meters, bridge Lepenica 1 – length of about 238 meters, and bridge Lepenica 2 – length of about 219 meters. Contractor is Turkish company Cengiz Insaat.
Construction of subsection Suhodol – Tarčin started in June, 2013. Construction value of specified subsection is 225 million KM including VAT. Most important structures are: tunnel Suhodol – length of about 2,800 meters, tunnelTarčin – length of about 400 meters, bridge Bijela- length about 90 meters, and loop Tarčin over which will be enabled connection with the main road M17. Contractor is Turkish company Cengiz Insaat in partnership with company Euro-Asphalt Ltd from Sarajevo.
Local companies perform more than 60 per cent of works on these three sub-sections. Around 20 local companies with over 2000 employees directly engaged in construction, was hired. More than 300 trucks, over 100 construction machines, and multiple sets of tunneling equipment
is engaged in construction.
“In July this year, a contract for the construction of the Sarajevo bypass route (LOT 3A from Butil – to Vlakovo, length of 3 km) will be signed. Expected value of works is 36 million KM and the works will be carried out by Euroasfalt Ltd. Sarajevo and ŽGP d.d. Sarajevo. Construction of this part of Sarajevo bypass route will connect the built part of the highway with section Vlakovo – Tarčin,” stated the Highway of Federation.
PC Highway of Federation BH signed an agreement with Municipalities Hadžići and Kiseljak on remediation of local roads in parts where works are carried out on construction of Corridor Vc. In the following period an agreement with the Municipality Ilidža will be signed.
Within construction of section Vlakovo – Tarčin project envisages and it will be built 8 km of local and service roads, namely: on subsection Vlakovo-Lepenica 2.5 kilometers, on subsection Lepenica-Suhodol 4.6 kilometers, and subsection Suhodol-Tarčin around 1 kilometer, stated Highway of FBiH.
